Comfort bikes have developed out of the need for a bike that feels, ...well,...comfortable. Mountain bikes seemed like heaven after the road bike/10-speed craze. Even a mountain bike can be uncomfortable if your position doesn't suit your body. Comfort bikes are designed to address the key contact points on a bike; the handlebars and the seat.

Seats have been a sore spot for a long time (pardon the pun). Most people try to throw more padding at the problem, but it never helps for long. The key to a good seat is shape and properly placed padding. Comfort bikes address this with the newest in seat technology, combined with seatpost suspension.

The hand position on a bike is reallt the key to being happy on your bike. Sore hands, back, neck, shoulders, are all a result of the wrong bar position. Comfort bikes help get you in the right position by raising the leel of your hands, to take the pressure off. They use high-ride handlebars and adjustable-rise stems to accomplish this.

Comfort bikes also use the lastest gearing systems, so shifting can be done witout your hands having to leave the bars. They also use super low gears so hill-climbing is much easier.
