Giant (website)
Giant Bicycles
has been building quality bikes for the last 30 years. A lot of
that time was spent building bikes for other major brands like
Trek and Specialized. Giant has a reputation for putting together
high quality bikes, at great prices, giving them amazing value.
They can do this beacuse they are the largest manufacturer of
quality bikes in the world, building close to 3 million in 1998.
The
big news from Giant this year is Maestro. It is a totally new
system for Giant and is similar to the VPP system that Santa Cruz
and Intense use, but better. It incorporates all of the
good things (vertical wheel path, no brake-jack, pedaling efficiency,
no pedal feedback). It also improves on the VPP system, by making
it small bump compliant, and it does it at a greatly reduced price.
Entry level Maestro bike are in the $1500 to $2000 range complete!
Riding is believing, so come and try one today.
Road
is being redifined by Giant bikes. If you look at most of the
major players in the road industry, they are copying the compact
geomtry that Giant developed. The reduced frame size increases
strength and stiffness, and reduces weight. It is also more
aerodynamic. The result is a fast and efficient package.
Now that carbon is back in a big way, Giant has set a new bar
for performance, and price. You can get a complete handbuilt,
full carbon bike, with a lifetime warranty, for around $3000.
Two
of our best selling models are Giants. The giant Sedona Cruiser
series and the Giant NRS series have been very popular in the
last few years. The Sedona series is a comfort bike, with high-rise
handlebars, suspension seatposts and seats, suspension forks,
light-wieght frames, and easy pedaling gears.
The
NRS series is a full-suspension cross-country bike that pedals
like a hard tail. For those of you who would love full-suspension,
but hate the thought of all of your energy being absorbed by bouncy
shocks, this is your bike. The Renault designed rear end will
absorb any bump forces and eliminate pedal foces from acting on
your rear suspension. The reason we have sold so many is simple,
...they work.

Fun bikes are
not ignored at Giant. With the popularity of chopper bikes as
of late, giant decided to show what they could do. The Stiletto
is the result. A great riding chopper bike at a great price.
